Why Should I exercise?!
For some, exercise is a passion. For others, it seems to be a four-lettered word, or in this case an eight-letter word. But, it doesn’t have to be a dreaded event. exercise can be fun. It can mean more than running for hours on the treadmill or climbing the stair master until your legs feel like Jell-O. You can get in shape by doing things that you love to do.

Finding The Right Personal Trainer

Written by Editor on Wednesday, August 9th, 2006 in exercise, personal training.

Personal trainers can be a great help when you are trying to get in shape. They can tell you what exercises to do, how to do them and are a great motivational force. They can drive you to get in shape or to reach a new level of physical fitness. A good personal trainer is worth their weight in gold, but a bad one can aggravate and de-motivate you. So how do you find a good personal trainer? You can’t just pick one and hope for the best. You have to do a little research to find the one who is right for you. This article will help you screen your personal trainers so you can find the one that’s right for you.
The first thing you need to look at is the education level of the personal training specialist. Find out what personal training schools they have attended, what certifications they hold and how much hands on training they have. There are quite a few different schools and certifying bodies in the personal training industry and one may not necessarily be better than the other. The important thing is that they have some education. If a personal trainer takes their career seriously, they will have obtained some official training and will be eager to talk about it.
The next thing that you should check for is references. Ask them for a few names of happy customers that would recommend them. If they are doing a good job, they will probably have dozens of satisfied customers who will sing their praises. You should also see who they are training. If they are mainly training hardcore body builders and you just want to lose a few pounds, they may not be for you.
Another factor to consider is the price. Choose a personal trainer that charges fairly but who isn’t necessarily cheap. Always beware of the lowest bidder. If they charge much lower than everyone else, you have to wonder why they value their service so little. Seek the middle ground in price, not too high but not too low.
The last thing that you need to take into consideration is personality. Find someone who you like and can get along with. If you do not like your trainer, you will probably stop going so this is very important. Spend a little time getting to know them. Ask them some questions to see how they respond. Are they condescending or arrogant with their answers? If you can’t get along or you find yourself annoyed by them in just a 5 minute interview, you will not be happy in the long run.
By just doing a little research, you greatly improve your odds of finding a good personal trainer whom you like. Once you have done that, you will greatly improve your odds of reaching your physical fitness goals.

Power of Supersetting

Written by Editor on Wednesday, August 9th, 2006 in fitness, exercise, weight gain.

By Zach Bashore

Training the same way everyday can become boring and may even lead to burnout. With all of the available training methods, it is hard to choose which one works best. Try all of them and determine which works best for your body. I am going to tell you about one training method used by bodybuilders to develop a great body. That style is called supersetting.

Supersetting is doing two different exercises back to back without stopping for rest. There are numerous benefits to supersetting. It shocks your body in doing something different.

Doing the same same exercises every week can be boring and should be altered to suit the trainee’s needs. Supersetting is an easy way to try something different. If you`re short on time, it is one of the quickest ways of getting in a workout.

Supersetting is a great way to add muscle mass to your body. It will also be benefiting from an aerobic workout since switching from different exercises will keep your body guessing. This could even lead to fat loss as your body is metabolising more calories.

Supersetting every training can lead to boredom just as easily as any wokrout program available. The key is not allowing your body to adapt. So change your workout around. No two gym sessions should ever be the same.

You need to be extra careful while doing supersets as the rotation of exercises, in a fatigued state, is dangerous. Use common sense, don’t try to lift more than what you can handle and you should be on your way to achieving a great body.
